Obituaries - Ethel Hornbuckle
Bushnell Record Friday, Dec. 6, 1918
Ethel Hornbuckle, wife of Claude Hornbuckle, died of pnemonia, following influenza, Wednesday night, December 4, aged 33 years ,5 months and 26 days. Funeral services will be held at the late home,west of Bushnell, Friday afternoon Dec. 6, at 2:30 the Rev. Chas. E. Vandettum of the Methodist church in charge and interment will be in the Bushnell cemetery.
Ethel Worthington was born at Mt Sterling, IL May 19, 1906 she was united in marriage to Claude Hornbuckle, by the Rev. W.R. Stewart of the Presbyteian church performing the ceremony. Mr.and Mrs Hornbuckle went to housekeeping on a farm west of this city and have lived there ever since. No children were born to them, and in addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents, who reside at Mt. Sterling, one brother now at Camp Grant, four sisters in Iowa and one in Rushville.
Mr. Hornbuckle and the brother have been ill with influenza but have both have recovered. Mrs. Hornbuckle was a good woman, and love her home, and the deepest sympathy of the entire community is extended to her husband .
