I am looking for information on any of the following persons: On 29 July 1883 a Lewis ROBINSON died in Macomb, IL, apparently he had been out of work for sometime and took sick.  His wife Lurana was taking care of him, but they had no food, so about the time of his death, they were all half starving.  They had taken in my G-Grandmother Luella STONEKING, who was born 3 Sep 1878 in Birmingham, Schuyler Co., IL.  By the 1880 census she was living with them and listed as a cousin (parents I presume were dead). Lurana was so ill after her husband's death that she was taken to the county home, while Luella was taken in by a Mr & Mrs Charles CREEL in Macomb.  Most of this was gleaned from a article on Lewis's death in the Macomb paper; also he was apparently working as a door to door saleman.  In Lurana's obit it was learned that her maiden name was FRISBE.  It seems that Lewis and Lurana might have moved back and forth between Macomb Co. and Schuyler Co. as in the 1870 cenus it shows them living with a Ruth ROBINSON, who is old enough to be his mother. Any help with any of the connections would be appreciated, as I can't pick up Luella STONEKING's trail again until 1898 in Macon, Co., MO, where she had married a William Franklin COURTNEY and had my Grandfather Robert Ernest, 10 Jun 1898.  I don't know whether she stayed with the CREEL's or went back with Lurana, who died in 1917 in Macomb (both her and her husband are buired in Oakwood Cem. in Macomb, in unmarked graves). Thanks for your help!

I seek information on parents and siblings of my grandmother, Ida Elizabeth ANDERSON (1866-1902).  In the 1960s my mother took me to the cemetery where Ida's parents are buried, but I'm not sure where it was.  It may be in or near Walnut Grove.  At that time (the 60s), it was a small cemetery surrounded by a fence in the middle of a corn field.  Does this place sound familiar to anyone? My great grandfather was a farmer, probably in the same town.  When I was there in the 1960s, there  was an old and quite nice Lutheran church near his former farm.  I also recall that a former bank building housed a restaurant at that time.   Ida Elizabeth ANDERSON is my only link to information about this branch of the family.  She married Victor ABRAHAMSON in 1887, possibly at that Lutheran church.  She had at least one sister, Emily, who married Oscar ROBERTS and lived in Galesburg most of her life.  If any of this rings a bell with you, I would surely appreciate hearing  about it.

Eldon & Connie Graham   13 July 1999
I am researching the GRAHAM name in McDonough county and the Macomb area. My grandfather, Lee Murl GRAHAM (1893-1975) visited relatives in Macomb, Ill., McDonough county, around 1900 when he was a small boy. He and his parents traveled by team and wagon from northwest Missouri to Macomb. They stayed  with relatives all winter and returned to Missouri the following spring.  His father, James S. was born in Birmingham, Ill. in 1856 and was one of 6 sons born to William A. GRAHAM and Lucinda B. (Shuler) Graham. The 1880 census shows no Grahams living in Birmingham township of Schuyler Co., so I think any relatives were probably living in or around Macomb in 1900. I am wanting to contact any relatives still living in the Macomb area and share our roots which go back to the 1600's in Scotland
